Olá Menina, Hello Stranger, 2026
This piece was inspired by a joyful walk through my neighborhood in Lisbon.
The city reveals itself through blooming flowers, vibrant building facades, and unexpected moments, like catching the gaze of someone watching quietly from a window.
This fleeting interaction stayed with me, blending surprise with a sense of connection. In the painting, I reimagine that moment, transforming it into an encounter with a more ambiguous, perhaps more alluring presence.
Through both intuitive and deliberate color choices, I sought to translate the warmth, curiosity, and gentle excitement of that walk into a visual experience.
40 cm 60 cm (15.75 inch x 23.62 inch)
Oil on canvas (Framed)
